Mini Cooking Class

This class may be mini but you’ll learn a lot – about Thai food and what makes it such an important part of Thailand’s culture.

Come as a group, family or by yourself and get hands-on experience in Thai cookery.  During this new “Designed Services” activity, our culinary experts will show how to choose and combine the many ingredients in Thai recipes. Among favorite dishes you’ll be preparing and enjoying are: somtam (green papaya salad), khao niaow ma muang (mango sticky rice), tom yam goong (spicy shrimp soup), pad thai (stir-fried rice noodle), tom kha gai (chicken in coconut milk soup) and the dessert bua loy (rice dumplings in coconut milk).

Mini Cooking Class participation is free for staying guests. Available every Thursday and Sunday 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Culture in a Cup

Just about everyone knows something about Thai food. It’s one of the world’s most popular cuisines. But did you know Thailand also has many distinctive drinks including teas and milks?

Now’s your chance to learn more about Thai drinks, which unlike food dishes aren’t often on the menu at Thai restaurants abroad. So join our new Culture in a Cup activity and you’ll learn how to prepare favorite recipes including Thai milk tea, pink milk, and glass jelly milk with brown sugar.

The activity is great for groups and families, in addition to being an excellent way to learn more about Thai culture – one delicious sip at a time.

Culture in a Cup Thai drinks activity is free for staying guests. Available every Thursday and Sunday from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the hotel’s pool bar.
